Enhancing community life is a core value of K.C. Charities. Columbian Place is located across the street from St. Mary’s Catholic Church Saskatoon’s Pleasant Hill neighbourhood, providing affordable, independent living for seniors in Saskatoon’s core neighbourhoods.
Opened in 2012, this spacious four-story building is soundproof and climate-controlled, and includes common areas that foster a community environment among residents. Residents of Columbian Place provide activities for the entire community: maintaining a library, hosting movie nights, and running a knitting club. Our family-centred community life encourages loved ones to visit and join the fun through events and meals.
The close proximity to St. Mary’s Church offers residents easy access to weekday and Sunday Masses. And with close ties to the Knights of Columbus, K.C. Charities has connections to more than 20 Catholic churches in Saskatoon which host events and faith-based activities that residents can attend.
Columbian Place is located near St. Paul’s Hospital, and services within walking distance include a credit union, community clinic, pharmacy, bakery, and convenience store and gas station.
Although K.C. Charities housing has faith-based Catholic roots, people of many faiths, denominations and backgrounds live in our communities. We welcome all to apply for housing with KC Charities.
We’ll give you a call 7-10 days after you’ve submitted your application. If you have any questions, we can address them at that point.
Note: single residents at Columbian Place cannot have an annual income greater than $46,600.00, or $57,500.00 for couples
