With a history of providing high-quality housing and services to seniors, K.C. Charities is expanding its existing seniors’ housing properties on Louise Street in Saskatoon.
The new Columbian Village building will be part of the same faith-based 55+ community as the neighbouring Manor, but with a new building featuring additions including a fitness centre, beauty salon and a large common area for entertainment and other activities.
A new 100-seat chapel accessible from both buildings will host daily Mass, and help maintain the strong sense of community in the housing complex. Columbian Village residents will also have access to all of the amenities in the Manor, including its large, sunny dining room, and any classes, clubs and other gatherings hosted there.
Located in the Nutana Suburban Centre neighbourhood on the east side of Saskatoon, nearby Market Mall has a grocery store, shops, restaurants, a pharmacy, a medical clinic, and a seniors-focused Community Health Clinic. Also nearby is Eastview Bowling Lanes, the Saskatoon Bridge Club, and Royal Canadian Legion Branch 362.
Although K.C. Charities housing has faith-based Catholic roots, people of many faiths, denominations and backgrounds live in our communities. We welcome all to apply for housing with KC Charities.
Columbian Manor also has 51 supportive living units for low-income seniors. Assisted living includes home cooked meals, housekeeping, and 24-hour on site support staff. These services are also available to all Columbian Manor residents for an additional fee.
